GBR Annual Employee Awards for 2009
GBR's annual Christmas party was held on Saturday, December 5th. Every year at this event, two awards are presented to GBR Properties' employees for their outstanding work throughout the year. The 2009 "Good Gets Good" award was presented to David Copeland, Oklahoma City Senior Property Manager, for being the person that shows team spirit, customer service (internal and external), accountability and the "gung ho" attitude. Kelly Herrmann, Oklahoma City Leasing & Marketing Assistant was awarded the 2009 "Can Do Does Do" award, for being the person that can do it and does do it, day in and day out, always being relied upon to get the job done and done well so that the whole organization looks good. GBR is proud of the exceptional work of these two employees and greatly appreciates their tremendous contributions to the company's continued success!

GBR Properties New Corporate Headquarters
On December 12, 2008, GBR Properties moved into their new corporate headquarters located at 3114 East 81st Street in The Offices at Walnut Creek.Four lots remain in the development allowing for owner-occupied buildings ranging from 4,000 square feet to 14,000 square feet.

Brixton Square Theater Conversion to Office
The Brixton Square theater conversion to office is in its final stage and is anticipated to be complete by the end of this year. Clyde Riggs Construction and GBR's Development Coordinator, Mike Russell have been working diligently to make the space ready for office leasing. The process has gone very smoothly with the most challenging aspect of the conversion being at the beginning with the placing of the structural steel and steel beams for roof support. Since the theater floor was at an incline, it was a challenge for the equipment to hang the steel as this is usually done on flat ground. Once the structural steel was up, the walls could then be torn down, the floor filled in and the slab poured.
Scott Wieczorek is responsible for the leasing of the new space and says that interest in leasing spaces has been increasing as completion nears. Rates are $17.00 per square foot per year. Due to its open layout, office spaces can be planned from 5,000 square feet to 33,000 square feet. With its close proximity to restaurants, shopping and hotels and the abundant parking available, it is hoped that prospective tenants will want to open for business at Brixton Square!

The Offices at Walnut Creek
GBR Properties plans to begin construction on the 27,750-square-foot, The Offices at Walnut Creek before the end of the year. The plans for the office development call for construction of five buildings on 2.78 acres at S. 81st Street and Florence, just west of Harvard Avenue.
The Offices at Walnut Creek offer an alternative to older Tulsa office corridors along Yale and Lewis Avenues. Located in the heart of upscale residential, close to downtown, and with the added amenities of shopping nearby, The Offices at Walnut Creek is an advantageous place to be.
